WHO I AM

Fabian Mürmann, 27, a passionate, freelancing, Berlin based Web-Developer who loves the internet and all it makes possible.
In my almost six years of freelancing I had the opportunity to work for various clients on several projects.

I’m always looking for new and challenging projects, let me know if you have something to work on or want to have coffee!

WHAT I DO

I do Web-Stuff, coding both the front and back ends. I particularly enjoy the challenge of developing concepts for new sites and applications.

Whether it’s a wordpress blog, a CMS driven site, a highly complex e-commerce application, a shop, a wiki, a social networking application or a custom coded site / web application:
I can make it happen!

Most recently, I’ve been working for international companies in various industries on intra- extra-net applications with PHP and MySQL, which typically integrate with the very largest e-commerce platforms: Amazon and eBay.
In December 2009 i sold a company which focuses on social networking.

• fischerAppelt AG - Hamburg

  I've built an Intranet application based on MediaWiki for the fischerAppelt Group that will replace their existing intranet. Jens Nikolaus made the design.

  

  Customization of a MediaWiki installation, development of extensions for MediaWiki, front end.

• Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems FOKUS - Berlin

  Conception and wireframing for mobile applications and their back ends.

• Handelsblatt GmbH - Düsseldorf

  jQuery plugin for the Handelsblatt Website relaunch in November 2009.

  

• Ampelmann GmbH - Berlin

  Bug fixing and improvement of an existing, internal Web-Application.

  Inventory and Order-Management System for a company that is specialized in selling books. The application is able to communicate with The Art of Books, Amazon (REST-API).

LET'S PLAY

Work isn’t everything – playing is important, too!
That’s why I’m very happy to do some projects with the very talented designer Jens Nikolaus. At the moment we’re creating a web service to deliver the perfect coffee.

• Advent calendar

  I hacked a small advent calendar with a little PHP, MySQL, CSS & jQuery. Since the calendar is for my girlfriend only I won’t post a link here, but you’ll get a screenshot.
  The calendar comes with some funky effects and features i.e. random door position on each load, stuff like that.
